Dr. MARY LEA

Professor of Teaching and Learning at the Open University in Britain. His main research interest is in the field of academic literacy. He has conducted extensive research on the writing of students in university settings, including most recently, online teaching and learning in virtual education. His research examines the relationship between writing, learning and the construction of disciplinary knowledge and how students and academics generate knowledge through writing practices. His current research focuses on literacy and technology development of online courses.
